In a strategic move to redefine home-based electric vehicle (EV) charging, UK-based energy technology company Powerverse has partnered with JPL EV Ltd, the creators of Stevie EV chargers, to integrate its AI-powered platform into all Stevie charging units. The collaboration aims to turn EV chargers from a regulatory necessity into intelligent, revenue-generating assets for homebuilders and homeowners alike.
The integration of Powerverse’s white-label software with Stevie’s sleek, wall-embedded EV chargers will provide users with real-time energy tracking, smart tariff optimisation, and seamless compatibility with solar panels and home battery systems. More significantly, it opens the door for users to participate in the UK’s growing flexibility and grid-balancing markets — directly earning financial rewards via the Powerverse app.
“JPL’s Stevie brand is already a favourite among housebuilders and installers,” said Richard Britton, CEO at Powerverse. “With our platform, every installed charger becomes part of a smarter, greener energy system.”
The rollout is already underway across new-build projects and multi-home developments this summer. Both companies are focused on elevating the value proposition for EV chargers in the housing market, presenting them not just as hardware, but as integrated components of the clean energy transition.
James Clarke, Director at JPL EV Ltd, emphasized the shift in perception this partnership encourages: “An EV charger is no longer just a mandated installation — it’s a smart energy hub with financial returns. Powerverse’s proven expertise allows us to offer our partners and users something far beyond the standard.”
Founded in 2022, Stevie has gained traction for its patented, flush wall-mounted EV chargers that prioritize safety, design, and future energy compatibility. With Powerverse’s technology stack, the chargers will now also offer access to lower-cost, greener charging — adding further appeal for sustainability-conscious buyers and developers.
Powerverse, founded by Nick Boyle, has been at the forefront of intelligent energy management since 2017. Its platform supports OEMs, energy firms, and EV companies with cutting-edge tools for smart charging, optimisation, and flexibility market access.
