Toyota Motor Corporation has announced the expansion of its battery electric vehicle (BEV) lineup in Europe as part of its multi-pathway approach toward carbon neutrality. The company unveiled three new models—the Toyota C-HR+, bZ4X, and Lexus RZ—at a premiere event in Brussels, reaffirming its commitment to offering diverse electrified vehicle options tailored to regional customer needs.

Strengthening the BEV Market in Europe

Europe has one of the highest rates of electrified vehicle ownership, with increasing demand for BEVs. Recognizing this trend, Toyota is enhancing its product lineup to cater to the major B-, C-, and D-SUV segments in the European market. This expansion follows the successful launch of the Urban Cruiser at the end of 2024.

Toyota C-HR+
The new Toyota C-HR+ introduces a fully electric powertrain while maintaining its signature sleek styling and practicality. Built on the e-TNGA platform, the C-HR+ features a specially tuned suspension system, ensuring a dynamic driving experience. The model offers two lithium-ion battery options: a 57.7 kWh base version with a 455 km cruising range and a 77.0 kWh extended range version capable of 600 km. The C-HR+ will be available in both front-wheel drive and all-wheel drive variants and is set for a European launch in the second half of 2025.

Toyota’s bZ4X, originally launched in 2022, receives significant upgrades in this new iteration. The model includes battery options of 57.7 kWh and 73.1 kWh, with the latter offering an extended range of approximately 573 km. A newly introduced battery pre-conditioning feature enhances charging efficiency in cold conditions, reducing rapid charging time to approximately 30 minutes at -10°C. Performance improvements include increased eAxle output, revised suspension settings, and an upgraded interior featuring a 14-inch multimedia display.

Lexus RZ: A New Dimension in Driving
Lexus continues to refine its BEV offerings with the latest Lexus RZ model. The new version introduces a high-output motor variant, the RZ 550e F SPORT, along with a Steer-by-Wire system and an Interactive Manual Drive feature. These advancements provide a more engaging driving experience while optimizing battery efficiency to achieve longer range and shorter charging times.
