Honda Unveils Revolutionary EV Technology at Honda 0 Tech Meeting 2024

At the highly anticipated “Honda 0 Tech Meeting 2024,” Honda Motor Co., Ltd. showcased groundbreaking advancements set to define the next generation of electric vehicles (EVs). With the launch of the Honda 0 Series, starting in 2026, Honda introduced its innovative approach to EV development, titled “Thin, Light, and Wise.” This bold strategy aims to reshape how electric vehicles are perceived, offering a perfect blend of artistry, efficiency, and intelligent design.

Five Core Values of Honda 0 Series:

Artistic Design – A new level of aesthetic appeal that resonates emotionally with consumers.
Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (AD/ADAS) – Cutting-edge safety features for automated driving.
EV as a Connected Space – Leveraging IoT to create a seamless experience.
Joy of Driving – A focus on the exhilarating feeling of oneness with the vehicle.
Outstanding Electricity Efficiency – Ensuring top-tier energy performance.
During CES 2024, Honda introduced two futuristic concept models, the Saloon and Space-Hub, and announced plans to unveil a new Honda 0 Series model at CES 2025. The flagship Saloon production model will be released in 2026, spearheading a total of seven models globally by 2030.

At the Tech Meeting, Honda highlighted their revolutionary EV platform, featuring a compact e-Axle and thin battery pack, alongside active aerodynamic systems and advanced body rigidity management—all aimed at maximizing efficiency and driving pleasure. These innovations will deliver a smooth, sporty ride while ensuring high electricity efficiency and sustainability.

Honda’s push toward automated driving saw advancements in Level 3 AD/ADAS, enabling “eyes-off” technology in traffic and expanding driving automation capabilities. This, combined with the brand’s commitment to energy management and a user-friendly digital experience (UX), will redefine the EV market, setting Honda apart as an industry leader.

CEO Toshihiro Mibe reiterated Honda’s vision: “Our aim is to create vehicles that people love—both for their innovative technology and for the joy they bring in driving. The Honda 0 Series is a testament to this commitment.”
