Toyota Motor Corporation (Toyota) has introduced the “250” series to its Land Cruiser lineup in Japan, accompanied by the release of special edition models ZX “First Edition” and VX “First Edition.” These limited-edition models, totaling 8,000 units, signify a return to the Land Cruiser’s roots while embodying the brand’s commitment to exceptional performance and customer trust.

The “250” series, positioned as the core model of the Land Cruiser lineup, aims to support people’s lives by offering ease of handling alongside robust off-road performance. Under the development concept of “back to the basics,” Toyota’s development team focused on returning the Land Cruiser to its light-duty model roots, ensuring it remains a vehicle customers can trust for daily use.

Equipped with the same robust GA-F platform as the “300” series, the “250” series prioritizes exceptional off-road performance. It introduces electric power steering (EPS) and Stabilizer with Disconnection Mechanism (SDM) to the Land Cruiser lineup, enhancing handling on and off-road. The series offers two powertrain options: a 2.8-liter direct injection turbo diesel engine and a 2.7-liter gasoline engine, both delivering powerful driving and environmental performance.
