MG Motor India is intensifying efforts to attract more customers, following a price reduction across its portfolio. The British brand, owned by a Chinese company, has introduced two new variants of the Comet EV named Excite FC and Exclusive FC.

Priced at Rs 8.24 lakh and Rs 9.14 lakh, these trims offer fast charging options, aiming to enhance the appeal of the micro electric hatch, which starts at Rs 6.99 lakh.

MG has revamped its earlier naming convention, changing from Push, Play, and Pace to Executive, Excite, and Exclusive. The new variants feature advanced safety options, a 10.25-inch dual-screen setup for infotainment, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, over 55 connected car features, and keyless entry.

Moreover, they feature over 100 voice commands for managing the electric vehicle, incorporating 35+ commands in Hinglish. The introduction of fast charging is expected to significantly reduce the Comet’s charging time to under 2 hours from the previous 7 to 5 hours.
