Ather Energy has commenced the production of the Ather 450 Apex, as announced by co-founder Swapnil Jain on his X (formerly Twitter) account.
Launched earlier this year to commemorate Ather’s 10th anniversary, the Ather 450 Apex is priced at INR 1.89 lakh (ex-showroom). The scooter introduces the Wrap+ mode, accelerating from 0 to 40 km/h in just 2.9 seconds, featuring an impressive 90 ms throttle response time – the quickest among both ICE scooters and EVs.
Ather has enhanced the power levels by 10% with Warp+, sustaining peak torque at higher speeds, resulting in a 30% faster 40–80 km/h speed compared to the 450X. The scooter now boasts a top speed of 100 km/h.
Additionally, recent reports suggest Ather Energy is in discussions with major banks for a potential Initial Public Offering (IPO) in India, anticipating a valuation of USD 2 billion and aiming to raise USD 400 million from the Indian share market, although a final decision is pending.
