Audi India Achieves Remarkable 89% Sales Surge in 2023, Sells 7,931 Retail Units

Audi, the renowned German luxury carmaker, disclosed a remarkable 89% surge in sales for the period spanning January to December 2023, retailing an impressive 7,931 units. This surge in numbers followed the introduction of three new models: the Audi Q3 Sportback, Audi Q8 e-tron, and Audi Q8 Sportback e-tron. The company also experienced continued demand for its popular models including the Audi A4, Audi A6, and Audi Q5. Moreover, the high-end vehicles such as the Audi Q7, Audi Q8, Audi A8 L, Audi S5 Sportback, Audi RS5 Sportback, Audi RS Q8, Audi e-tron GT, and Audi RS e-tron GT maintained robust demand.

Mr. Balbir Singh Dhillon, Head of Audi India, expressed satisfaction with the year’s success, crediting the diverse and appealing product lineup for driving strong demand. He highlighted the company’s commitment to growth, introducing innovative initiatives, and delivering unparalleled luxury experiences. The retail network expanded to encompass a total of 64 touchpoints, which include showrooms and workshops, along with 25 Audi Approved: plus showrooms across the nation, instilling confidence that this positive momentum will continue into 2024.

Audi India’s strong performance throughout the year was buoyed by new product launches, a comprehensive lineup of seventeen cars, and exceptional customer offerings. Mr. Dhillon emphasized the importance of customer loyalty, citing that one in every four customers is a repeat Audi buyer, underscoring the company’s dedication to customer satisfaction and product excellence.

The Audi Approved: plus segment, focusing on pre-owned cars, witnessed a commendable growth of 62% in 2023. With 25 Audi Approved: plus facilities operational across major hubs in the country, the brand aims to further expand its pre-owned car facilities in the coming year.

In line with Audi’s commitment to sustainability, the company introduced the ‘ChargeMyAudi’ feature on the myAudiConnect app, catering specifically to Audi e-tron customers. This innovative solution offers access to multiple electric vehicle charging points through a single app, enhancing convenience for customers. Additionally, Audi India inaugurated India’s first ultra-fast charging station in Bandra Kurla Complex (BKC), Mumbai, aimed at delivering efficient and high-performance charging services for electric vehicles, powered by green energy.

Furthermore, Audi India introduced Audi Club Rewards, an exclusive rewards program offering unique privileges and tailored experiences for existing and prospective customers. Additionally, the company unveiled a new Apple Watch version of the ‘myAudi Connect’ app, empowering customers with remote access and essential vehicle information on their wrist, further enhancing the overall ownership experience.
