Lotus Cars, renowned for high-performance sports cars, has made its debut in the Indian market by introducing three models of its electric SUV, Eletre, with prices starting at Rs 2.55 crore.
The British automaker, owned by the Chinese brand Geely, unveiled the Lotus Eletre, Eletre S, and Eletre R variants, priced at Rs 2.55 crore, Rs 2.75 crore, and Rs 2.99 crore, respectively (all ex-showroom pan-India).
Exclusive Motors has been chosen as the authorized representative for Lotus Cars in India, with the first showroom set to open in Delhi soon. The company plans to expand to other cities based on consumer demand.
Dominic Baumgart, Head of Aftersales, Asia Pacific, Middle East, Africa, and India, Lotus Cars, expressed confidence in entering the Indian market, emphasizing the favorable conditions for luxury electric vehicles with government support and rapidly developing charging infrastructure. Lotus Cars also has plans to introduce The Emira, their latest internal combustion sports car, in the Indian market in 2024.
