These electric buses, which operate on 15 routes within the city and two routes connecting different cities, cover a minimum distance of 200 kilometers daily, operating from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.

During his address, Sinha commended the efforts of Srinagar Smart City Limited and the residents of the city and surrounding areas. He emphasized that their top priority is to implement smart mobility solutions that strike a balance with the environment.

Sinha highlighted that the addition of 100 electric buses is a significant step towards realizing Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of achieving carbon neutrality. He also mentioned that Srinagar Smart City Limited is actively making the concept of ‘modal shift’ a reality by providing a seamless transportation system for the people.

The electric buses come equipped with features such as universal access, an HVAC system, onboard vehicle tracking, CCTV, and emergency stop facilities. To enhance passenger convenience, a dedicated mobile app and online ticket payment system have been developed.
