In a significant leap toward promoting green mobility in Kolkata, Tata Power, a leading integrated power company and prominent EV charging solutions provider, has joined forces with the prestigious Tollygunge Club. The collaboration marks a groundbreaking milestone with the inauguration of a 7.4 kW AC Type 2 charger at the Tollygunge Club premises. This vital initiative underscores Tata Power’s unwavering commitment to advancing electric vehicle adoption in the heart of the city.

The inauguration ceremony was graced by the esteemed presence of Mr. Sujoy Banerjee, President of Tollygunge Club, and Brig. V Ganapathy (Retd), CEO of Tollygunge Club. The newly installed charger, designed to cater to both club members and visitors, symbolizes Tata Power’s dedication to fortifying the EV charging landscape in Kolkata.

Tata Power has made substantial progress in the EV charging infrastructure domain, deploying over 50 public and semi-public charging points across Kolkata. The company currently holds a dominant market share of nearly 60% in India’s EV charging industry. With an extensive network spanning 420+ cities, including 59,000+ home chargers, 4,800+ public and semi-public charging points, and 430+ bus charging stations, Tata Power continues its commitment to expanding EV charging accessibility across the nation.
