Vitesco Technologies unveiled a diverse range of electrification solutions for two-wheelers in India. Among the showcased products was a demonstration of their 48-volt system designed for electric light motorcycles and scooters.
With an output ranging from 3-7 kW (equivalent to up to 150 cc for combustion engines), the 48-volt system targets smaller two-wheelers that play a crucial role in everyday mobility in Asian countries. The demonstration took place at Vitesco Technologies’ facility in Talegaon, Maharashtra.
Having previously presented a fully electric demo scooter in Milan in November 2022, Vitesco Technologies continues to emphasize its commitment to electric mobility.
Klaus Hau, Executive Board Member and Head of the Powertrain Solutions Division expressed his belief in the electric future, stating the company’s excitement to showcase its first 48-volt demo vehicle in India. Recognizing India’s significance in its global growth strategy, Hau emphasized that Vitesco Technologies’ portfolio focuses on scalable platforms for electrified vehicles as e-mobility gains momentum worldwide.
Vitesco Technologies is actively working on developing drive systems for series production in specific customer projects. Anurag Garg, Managing Director and Country Head of Vitesco Technologies India highlighted the company’s intention to set new benchmarks for electric vehicle vision while also establishing standards for other e-mobility initiatives.
Garg emphasized Vitesco Technologies’ long-standing investment in the segment since 2006 and pledged to continuously enhance the efficiency and range of their innovative electrification solutions for two-wheelers and Powersports in India.
