Matter, an electric mobility startup backed by prominent investors like Baring Private Equity as well as Infoedge revealed the price for its geared electric motorcycles. The motorbike “Aera” will be offered in four versions which are Aera 4000, Aera 5000, Aera 5000+, and Aera 6000+.
Currently, the company has announced the pre-registration costs of Aera 5000 as well as Aera 5000+. Aera 5000 is priced at Rs 1,43,999 and Aera 5000+ is priced at Rs 1,53,999.
Matter Aera is available in two different battery capacities: There are two battery capacities for Aera: 5kWh and 6kWh. Prices for pre-registration are based on the support provided by central government through GST slab and subsidies. During registration, customers can avail of state government benefits. Aera 6000+ will soon come with a 6-kWh lithium-ion battery pack.
The claimed range for both variants is 125km, but they can accelerate to 0-60 kmph in less than six seconds. Normal charging takes five hours, while fast charging takes less than two hours. The bikes are powered using an in-house-built liquid-cooled battery pack.
