Ola Electric Sells Over 25,000 Electric Scooters In December 2022

Ola Electric, an electric two-wheeler manufacturer reported that it sold over 25,000 units in the month of December 2022. The company also increased its Indian market share to 30%. The two-wheeler manufacturer has set new sales records in December 2022. The company, which is expanding its direct-to-consumer business, stated that it has 200 locations in the pipeline by March 2023. There are currently 100 experience centers across the country.

Bhavish Aggarwal, CEO of Ola Electric, said in a tweet, “A December to Remember! We sold 25000 scooters and grew our market share to 30%. The EV revolution in India has taken off! 2023 will be even more. Onwards and upwards.”

He stated that 2022 was the turning point in India’s journey to becoming a global EV hub. If last year showed us the true potential of India’s electric vehicle market, then this year is poised for the floodgates to EVs in India.

The company also just released MoveOS 3 to over 1 lakh users. MoveOS 3 contains more than 50 new features, performance enhancements, and other improvements that will maximize the S1 scooter’s potential. The company’s Hypercharger network is expanding rapidly and Ola scooters now work with it. It is currently spread across 27 Indian States.

The company plans to enter the electric car market. Multiple teases have been made about the vehicle by the company. The car is still in development and will require a lot more work before it launches in India. According to the company, the car will be able to travel more than 500 kilometers.
