Tata Motors reached an important milestone in India by delivering 50,000 electric vehicle. The Tata Nexon electric vehicle containing 50,000th units was delivered to N Chandrasekaran, the Chairman of Tata Group.
Shailesh Chandra (Passenger Vehicle Business Unit President) handed the electric SUV over to his wife Lalitha Chandrasekaran. The Tata Nexon EV comes in Glacier White and is available in three trims as well as two Dark Edition versions. Prices range from 14.99 lakh up to Rs. 17.50 lakh, ex-showroom.
The Nexon EV is based upon the Nexon EV, which is underpinned by the Gen1 platform. It has a claimed range of 312km on a single recharge. The Nexon EV features a high-voltage system, a fast charging facility, and safety features. The top-end model includes add-ons such as an electric sunroof, an automatic rain-sensing wiper, and leather upholstery.
Harman has created a touchscreen infotainment system for the dashtop that measures 7 inches. There are 4 speakers and 4 tweeters. Navigation is done using a smartphone. You can also choose to use voice commands, video playback, and other features.
