Statiq, an electric vehicle charging network company, has won a tender from Indian Oil Corporation Ltd. (IOCL), to supply 18 chargers for installation across the country.

These chargers can be used to charge any four-wheeler, and are available at key locations in the network.

Aman Rehman (Head of Government Relations, Corporate Affairs of Statiq) stated, “This win is extremely strategic to Statiq because it helps us improve the EV ecosystem deeply.”

This tender is vital to IOCL’s carbon neutrality plans. It will also provide leverage to their existing fuel station network. The system is responsible for more than half of India’s fuel requirements. It sees over 31,000 people per day.

Shrikant Madhav Vaidya is Chairman and Managing Director of IOCL. He noted that “With Statiq winning this tender, it was a pleasure to find a collaborator who can provide us with high-quality Made-in-India EV charging stations. This will allow us to spread the message that clean energy can be accessed in an easy and affordable manner.
