Ola Electric introduces the S1 Air within a year after the S1 Pro and S1 were launched. The introductory price is Rs 84,999. It also announced the most recent update on Move OS 3.
According to the company, the S1 Air weighs 99kg and is 25kg lighter than the S1 Pro electric scooter. It has a 4.5kW hub motor and a 2.5kWh battery pack. This allows acceleration of zero to 40kmph in just 4.3 seconds. The S1 Air can reach a speed of 85 mph and claims an IDC range of 100 km in Eco mode. The 34-liter boot space is still available.
The electric scooter comes in five colors: Neo Mint, Coral Glam, Jet Black, Porcelain White, and Liquid Silver. According to the company, the purchase window will open in February 2023. Move OS 3 will be pre-installed on the Ola S1 Air.
Ola users now have the opportunity to enjoy some of the new features in Move OS 3. These include improved acceleration, a vacation mode that allows for up to 200 days of battery conservation, Hill hold, a new UI – Vintage as well as Bolt Mood, smart lights, auto-reply for calls, and multiple profiles that allow for scooter sharing.
The updates also include hyper charging or fast-charging, which charges the Ola S1 to 50 km in just 15 minutes. This effectively means that it can charge at 3km per minute. The new app will allow for mood-based customization, widgets, and sound. Ola S1 users can also access information about vehicle usage and performance through the app.
Ola claims that it currently has 50 hyperchargers in India, and will continue to expand its coverage.
The company also introduced the first accessory for the Ola Scooter, a buddy step for pillion riders with the main stand. The accessories can be purchased starting in January. Ola promises that it will continue to introduce new accessories over the next twelve months and has also showcased a modular storage organizer for the boot space.
