The MCD granted permission to four government-of-India public sector understandings – Energy Efficiency Services Limited (EESL), Telecommunications Consultants India Limited (TCIL),  Indraprastha Gas Limited (IGL), Broadcast Engineering Consultants India Limited (BESIL), DISCOMS — Tata Power Delhi Distribution Limited, Yamuna Power Limited and BSES.

To assess the feasibility of installing and operating EV charging stations, they were given parking spots as well as roadsides, according to the statement.
