Okinawa Autotech Signs Agreement With Tacita For Making Electric Scooters And Electric Motorcycles For Indian Market

Okinawa Autotech, Gurugram based startup signs an agreement with Tacita, an electric motorcycle manufacturer in Italy for making electric scooters and electric motorcycles for the Indian market. Both companies plan to launch the vehicle by 2023.

This joint venture will use the manufacturing facility of Okinawa in Bhiwadi, Rajasthan for manufacturing electric two-wheeler in the country and for global markets as well.

Tacita will provide a controller, battery packs, powertrain, Battery Management System, and motor for the new electric two-wheeler to be manufactured.

The design for the new electric vehicles will be developed at Tacita’s headquarters in Italy with professional technicians of Okinawa and the powertrain and BMS development team of Tacita.

The road tests will be taken for Italy as well as India’s weather conditions. Also, one test will include riding the electric vehicle from Okinawa’s facility in India to Tacita’s facility in Italy.
