MG Motor India launches ‘MG Charge’ its new venture to accelerate the electric vehicle infrastructure in India. MG Motor will install 1,000 AC fast chargers across the country at residential complexes in 1000 days.
The new chargers are SMART Type 2 chargers that will assist current and the upcoming electric vehicles is supported by most of the models. The chargers will be supported by sim and a sharable Charger Management System.
Rajeev Chaba, President, and Managing Director, MG Motor India, said, “MG is constantly working towards its mission of enhancing the EV ecosystem in India. With the launch of MG Charge, we will bring increased convenience and address the charging concern of the customers, encouraging more to adopt the EV lifestyle. With this initiative, we will now have a 6-way charging solution for our customers and provide increased assurance and confidence.”
The chargers can be used 24 X 7 and this will boost the go green, future-ready electric vehicles in India. The company will also work with RWAs (Resident Welfare Associations) for installation EV chargers, saving costs and providing guidance.
Recently, MG Motor launched its first electric vehicle, ‘ZS EV’ with features like fast charging, charge on the go and others and it will launched an upgrade version of this model soon.
