Tesla India has placed an order with Oxy Neuron India Pvt Ltd for ‘Magic Box Smart Inverter.’ Oxy Neuron India Pvt Ltd is a Noida based startup.
These portable inverters comes in 3 different variants of 1 KW, 2 KW and 3 KW units with price starting from Rs. 25000 and with almost double-battery backup.
E.R. Ashutosh Verma, Founder of Oxy Neuron, said, “We have received our first order of Magic Box Inverter from Tesla India. The government’s support to startups is a boost for startups like ours to develop more and more innovative products.”
“The inverter is expected to solve the issue of electricity backup in rural India,” he added.
The portable inverter is based on Internet of Things (IoT) and can be used through a mobile application. The company also claims that its has around 15 year battery life and 5 year replaceable guarantee.
Vikash Prakash from IIT Kanpur’s SIIC, said, “We are thrilled to be part of such innovation which is on way to revamp and begin a new phase in rural India.”
The company has innovated oxygen, hydrogen, solar and nitrogen based agricultural and medical products with Exalta India.
This will boost local manufacturers as the company will source local parts due to supply constraints and chip shortage.
Last month, Nitin Gadkari said, “I have told Tesla that don’t sell electric cars manufactured in China in India. You should manufacture electric cars in our country, and also export cars from India.”
