Mitsubishi will Launch New-Generation Outlander PHEV Model

All-new Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV to debut in the US in second half of 2022

In the second half of the current fiscal year, Mitsubishi Motors Corporation will launch an all-new Outlander (crossover SUV) in a plug-in hybrid model (PHEV) in Japan. It will roll out the same model in the second half of 2022 in the US market.

With the new version, there is an improvement of motor output and increased battery capacity from the existing model. This gives Outlander PHEV, better road results and a significant driving range. It can now also accommodate seven passengers due to the integrated components, newly developed platform, and optimized layout presenting a utility and a new level of comfort in the SUV.

The Outlander PHEV was firstly launched in 2013 globally. It served as proof since 1964 of MMC’s dedication towards electric vehicles (EVs) and to their research and development. Outlander is an EV a hybrid vehicle for everyday driving and excursions. It is quiet, smooth, and powerful when it comes to road performance from its competitive EVs. It is also safe for driving in different weather and road conditions.

The company has sold in more than 60 countries across the world since the Outlander PHEV’s launch. Hence, it has been and still is a market leader in the PHEV segment.
