Enel X collaborates with Biogen to achieve Biogen goal for fleet electrification of 1,000 vehicles in American till 2025. By this deal, Employees of Biogen will be supplied with an Enel X Juice Box the smart home charging station, providing a company Electric Vehicle at home for charge with the consent of Employees
Biogen to match with Enel X’s JuiceEcofor Vehicle energy usage.
Announced by the advanced energy services arm of the Enel group, that it is working with Biogen Inc. to electrify the global biotechnology company’s Employee for commercial fleet. Being a member of Climate Group’s EV100, it’s a global initiative of companies accelerating the global transition to EV’s, Biogen is committed to achieve its global fleet of over 1,000 vehicles to EV’s till 2025. This collaboration between both company’s the Enel X and Biogen advances progress on Biogen’s Healthy Climate, The Healthy Lives initiative to go fossil fuel free by 2040 and it helps to improve public health by advancing global goals for Climate Change and Air Pollution reduction.
According to the IEA, demand for zero emission Electric Vehicles has accelerated the market for EV’s. By this collaboration, Biogen will share employees with Enel X Juice Box smart home charging stations, offering employees the consent to charge company Electric Vehicles at home, where approximately 80% of Electric Vehicle Charging typically takes place.
Enel X is providing a turnkey fleet management solution with Biogen, including Juice Net Fleet IoT software and Juice Box smart charging stations to manage the electric fleet through optimized charging times, and for station monitoring the remote access control, as well as real time monitoring and reporting. It will provide the cleanest charging option for its take home fleet for Biogen, also it will reduce the fleet operating costs over the lifetime of EV’s for Biogen, and help balance the grid by utilising off peak charging, which generates the customer bill savings and reduces strain on the grid during peak periods. Additionally, Biogen is providing with Enel X Juice Eco it’s take home fleet drivers, to make sure the energy consumed by every Electric Vehicle during charging with carbon free Electricity.
