BikeWo Green Tech Limited has signed a non-binding Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Hala Mobility to explore the deployment and management of electric vehicle (EV) fleets, with an initial proposed deployment of approximately 1,000 EVs.

The companies intend to scale the fleet to approximately 10,000 electric vehicles over the next three years, subject to the performance of the initial phase, commercial viability, operational requirements and mutually agreed arrangements.

Under Phase I, BikeWo and Hala Mobility will work on establishing a framework covering EV deployment, fleet utilisation, vehicle management and other operational requirements. The initial deployment is expected to provide insights into developing a scalable EV fleet operating model and determine the pace of subsequent expansion.

The partnership may also explore expansion into new geographies, vehicle segments and customer categories as the collaboration develops. Beyond fleet deployment, the companies plan to evaluate opportunities across vehicle leasing, fleet management, charging infrastructure, energy solutions, technology platforms, maintenance and servicing, enterprise mobility and logistics applications.

BikeWo said the collaboration forms part of its broader strategy to build an integrated mobility and logistics platform spanning EV deployment, fleet operations, vehicle leasing, servicing, maintenance, energy infrastructure, logistics and technology-enabled mobility solutions.

Hiten Pal Saklani, CEO of BikeWo Green Tech, said the partnership is aimed at developing capabilities across EV deployment, utilisation, maintenance, technology and fleet management through an operating model that can be tested at scale.

The MoU is non-binding, and the proposed vehicle deployments represent indicative business objectives. Any specific deployment, commercial commitment or subsequent scale-up will be subject to definitive agreements, applicable approvals and other customary conditions.
