Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath directed officials to complete the acquisition of necessary land for the Agra-Lucknow-Purvanchal Link Expressway, Jewar Link Expressway and Jhansi Link Expressway by the end of June, while reviewing major infrastructure and industrial development projects in the state.
Chairing the fourth meeting of the State Transformation Commission, the Chief Minister stressed that improved connectivity would accelerate industrial development, investment and employment generation across Uttar Pradesh.
The Chief Minister also reviewed progress on the Farrukhabad Link Expressway project, where around 55 percent of the land has already been acquired. Officials informed that the alignment of the Meerut-Haridwar Expressway has been approved and the land acquisition action plan is currently being prepared.
Focusing on preparations linked to the upcoming operations of Jewar International Airport, the Chief Minister directed officials to ensure the availability of 110 electric buses in the first phase for airport connectivity. He reviewed plans for operating 500 electric buses in Noida, Greater Noida and the YEIDA region and instructed authorities to strengthen public transport facilities before proposed flight operations begin on June 15.
The Chief Minister also emphasised the rapid expansion of electric vehicle charging infrastructure in the state. Officials informed that Uttar Pradesh currently has nearly 15.5 lakh registered electric vehicles and aims to establish 10,000 charging stations by 2030. Around 2,500 charging stations are already operational.
Reviewing industrial and logistics projects, the Chief Minister warned that unnecessary delays in investment-related works would not be tolerated. Officials informed that possession has been secured for 301 hectares out of the required 323 hectares for the Multi Modal Logistic Hub, while tenders for developer selection remain open until July 6, 2026.
Similarly, 144 hectares of land have been made available for the proposed Multi Modal Transport Hub, with acquisition of the remaining land in progress.
Describing simplified building approval procedures as essential for an investment-friendly ecosystem, Yogi Adityanath directed officials to make industrial building approval systems transparent and time-bound.
The Chief Minister also reviewed progress under the Uttar Pradesh State Rural Livelihood Mission and instructed officials to ensure adequate manpower for effective rural implementation. Recruitment processes for vacant posts at state, district and block levels are currently underway.
Reviewing the proposed Seed Park and Textile Park projects in Lucknow, the Chief Minister said these initiatives should be integrated with the state’s agricultural and industrial growth strategies. Officials informed that discussions with international institutions and major seed companies regarding the Seed Park project have already taken place.
In the defence manufacturing sector, officials informed the meeting that Icons Hindustan Aerospace and Defence Systems Private Limited has proposed an investment of Rs 125 crore in the Aligarh Defence Node under the Defence Corridor project. The proposal has already been recommended by the Technical Evaluation Committee and Land Allotment Committee.
The Chief Minister also reviewed the proposed Agriculture Export Hub near Jewar International Airport and the Aqua Bridge project in Unnao. Officials informed that 29 acres out of the required 50 acres for the Agri Export Hub have already been identified. For the Aqua Bridge project, 60 acres of land has been earmarked for fish processing, feed plants, packaging and export-related infrastructure.
During the meeting, the Chief Minister directed officials to strengthen self-employment initiatives under the Chief Minister Yuva Udyami Yojana and prioritise modern urban infrastructure projects under the Urban Challenge Fund in view of rapid urbanisation.
He further instructed that all projects included under ‘CM Samiksha’ should receive top priority and directed the formation of a special monitoring cell in the Chief Minister’s Office for regular review and faster implementation.
