JSW MG Motor India has launched the much-awaited MG MAJESTOR, positioning it as India’s first D+ SUV with advanced off-road capabilities, premium comfort features, and Level 2 ADAS technology.
The company announced the launch of the MG MAJESTOR 4×2 Automatic Top Trim at an ex-showroom price of ₹40.99 lakh for both 6- and 7-seater configurations. The 4×4 Automatic Top Trim, available only as a 7-seater, has been priced at ₹44.99 lakh.
Powered by a twin-turbo diesel engine, the MAJESTOR delivers 215.5 PS of power and 478.5 Nm of torque, paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission. The SUV is offered in both two-wheel-drive and advanced four-wheel-drive variants.
According to MG, the MAJESTOR has been engineered for serious off-road performance with features such as 10 terrain modes, Crawl Control Mode, and segment-first triple differential locks on the front, rear, and centre differentials. The SUV also offers 219 mm ground clearance and an 810 mm water-wading capacity.
Speaking on the launch, Anurag Mehrotra, Managing Director of JSW MG Motor India, said the MAJESTOR sets new standards in the Indian SUV market through its combination of performance, technology, comfort, and rugged capability.
The MAJESTOR is also one of the largest SUVs in its category, measuring 5,046 mm in length, 2,016 mm in width, and 1,870 mm in height, along with a 2,950 mm wheelbase. Exterior highlights include a Mosaic Matrix Grille, Dragon Eyes DRLs, connected LED tail lamps, and 19-inch alloy wheels.
Inside, the SUV features a premium black-themed cabin equipped with ventilated and massage seats, panoramic sunroof, 64-colour ambient lighting, and three-zone climate control. Technology features include dual 12.3-inch screens, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, dual wireless chargers, a 220V power outlet, and a 12-speaker JBL surround sound system.
Safety features include Level 2 Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), a 360-degree HD camera, Electronic Stability Program (ESP), ABS with EBD, Traction Control System (TCS), and Roll Mitigation functions.
The company is also offering its “MG SHIELD” ownership package with benefits including a three-year unlimited-kilometre warranty, roadside assistance, periodic services, and an assured buyback program of up to 70%.
