Ford Announces Marketing Leadership Shake-Up as Global CMO Lisa Materazzo Exits

Ford Motor Company has announced a major leadership transition in its global marketing division, with Global Chief Marketing Officer Lisa Materazzo set to leave the company.

The automaker confirmed that Dean Stoneley, currently serving as global product marketing executive director, will take over as interim CMO.

Materazzo joined Ford in 2023 and played a central role in reshaping the company’s global marketing operations during a transformative period for the automotive giant. She was instrumental in launching Ford’s new global brand strategy under the “Ready, Set, Ford” campaign, aimed at strengthening customer engagement and modernizing the brand’s image worldwide.

In a statement, Jim Farley praised Materazzo’s contributions to the company’s Ford+ growth strategy. He credited her with building a high-performing marketing team, improving customer loyalty and supporting Ford’s dealer network across global markets.

“Dean has a proven track record of global marketing leadership,” Farley said, highlighting Stoneley’s previous experience as CEO of Ford Canada and CEO of FordDirect, as well as his expertise in digital strategy and advanced product marketing.

Reflecting on her departure, Materazzo described her time at Ford as “an incredible honor” during a period of rapid industry change. She thanked her team and partners for helping evolve one of America’s most iconic automotive brands.

“Collaborating across the organization, partnering with our world-class dealers, and working alongside trusted partners to launch Ford’s new global brand strategy has been a profoundly rewarding experience,” she said.

Stoneley now steps into the interim role as Ford continues to strengthen its branding and customer outreach efforts amid growing competition in electric vehicles, digital retailing and connected mobility solutions.

The leadership change comes as Ford accelerates its long-term transformation strategy focused on innovation, customer experience and profitability across its global operations.
