Greaves Electric Mobility has added another achievement to its growing electric mobility portfolio, with its family-oriented e-scooter, the Ampere Magnus G Max, winning the prestigious ‘Family Scooter of the Year’ award at the Times Drive Auto Summit and Awards 2026.

The recognition strengthens the position of the Ampere brand in India’s competitive EV market, particularly in the affordable family scooter segment. Launched in January 2026, the Magnus G Max has been designed as a next-generation electric scooter focused on practicality, safety, and long-distance commuting for Indian consumers.

The scooter features a certified range of over 142 km on a single charge and is powered by a 3 kWh Lithium Iron Phosphate (LFP) battery, offering enhanced safety and durability. It also comes with a class-leading battery warranty of five years or 75,000 km. Built on a dual-frame chassis for stability on Indian roads, the scooter includes a spacious 33-litre under-seat storage compartment and multiple riding modes, including Eco, City, and Reverse.

Commenting on the award, Vikas Singh said the company remains committed to building practical, durable, and dependable mobility solutions tailored for Indian families. He added that the strong market response to the Magnus G Max reflects growing consumer confidence in electric mobility when products are designed around real-world needs.

The scooter can achieve a top speed of 65 kmph and is equipped with features such as a 3.5-inch LCD digital cluster, USB charging port, LED lighting setup, hydraulic telescopic front suspension, and optional connected technology through a telematics control unit (TCU). It is available in three dual-tone colour options — Matcha Green, Monsoon Blue, and Cinnamon Copper.

The latest honour follows another recent industry recognition for Ampere, after the Ampere Magnus Grand won the ‘Electric Scooter of the Year 2026’ award from Bike India. The consecutive recognitions underline Greaves Electric Mobility’s focus on innovation and expanding EV adoption across India.

Greaves Cotton Limited, the parent company of Greaves Electric Mobility, continues to strengthen its presence in sustainable mobility solutions through its electric two-wheeler and three-wheeler businesses, supported by manufacturing facilities in Hyderabad, Noida, and Ranipet, along with a nationwide dealer network.
