EV charging software company EcoG has appointed two prominent global industry leaders — former Kempower CEO Tomi Ristimäki and former EVgo Chief Revenue Officer Tanvi Chaturvedi — to its Advisory Board as the company accelerates its international expansion across Europe, North America, and India.
The appointments mark a strategic move by EcoG as it scales its EV charging operating system and strengthens its role in enabling reliable and interoperable charging infrastructure worldwide. The board is now complete alongside existing members Carlota Ochoa Neven Du Mont, Andreas Heubl, and Florian Löbermann.
EcoG, known for developing software platforms and reference designs for EV charging systems, is also expanding into vehicle-to-grid (V2G) technology partnerships with automotive manufacturers. The company said the new advisors will help it navigate the growing complexity of the global EV infrastructure market while maintaining high standards of reliability and scalability.
Ristimäki, who led Finnish charging manufacturer Kempower through rapid expansion and a successful IPO, highlighted the importance of dependable charging systems in a fast-growing market.
“Reliability remains a key hurdle,” Ristimäki said. “EcoG addresses this by standardizing the most complex aspects of charger design, enabling even new entrants to achieve high operational reliability quickly and efficiently.”
Chaturvedi, previously with EVgo and Google, emphasized the growing need for intelligent software platforms in EV infrastructure.
“EcoG is building this foundation at scale, creating a category-defining opportunity to shape the future of EV charging globally,” she said.
EcoG CEO Joerg Heuer said the appointments would help the company scale faster and more efficiently in an increasingly competitive market.
“Their mentorship will be vital as we work to optimize and scale our offerings while delivering sustainable value to customers,” Heuer said.
Board members also reinforced EcoG’s position within the cleantech and sustainability ecosystem. Extantia Capital’s Carlota Ochoa Neven Du Mont described EcoG’s platform as “the core piece” for the next generation of smart and scalable EV infrastructure, while BayBG’s Andreas Heubl said EcoG had emerged as a leading operating system provider for DC charging stations within just a few years.
With demand for EV charging infrastructure rising globally, EcoG aims to use its strengthened advisory team to solidify its position as a key software backbone for the industry’s long-term growth.
