Bajaj Auto has unveiled the updated Bajaj Pulsar NS400Z, now powered by a new 349cc engine that allows the motorcycle to qualify for the lower 18% GST slab. The company says the move significantly reduces the bike’s overall ownership cost while retaining its sporty character and high-performance appeal.

Launched at an ex-showroom price of ₹1,80,092 in Delhi, the revised NS400Z delivers 40.6 PS of power and maintains a strong power-to-weight ratio of 247 PS per ton. According to the company, buyers can save up to ₹24,500 through a combination of lower ex-showroom pricing, reduced insurance premiums, and lower registration charges.

The updated motorcycle continues to carry the aggressive styling and performance-oriented DNA of the Pulsar NS lineup. It is equipped with several premium features including four ride modes, a quick shifter, traction control, dual-channel ABS, radial tyres, and a Bluetooth-enabled digital console.

Bajaj Auto stated that the new engine configuration was designed to preserve the bike’s thrilling riding experience while making performance motorcycling more affordable for Indian consumers. The company also highlighted the motorcycle’s suitability for both urban commuting and long-distance touring.

Speaking on the launch, Sarang Kanade said the Pulsar NS brand has always focused on delivering accessible performance and bold riding experiences. He added that the updated NS400Z reinforces the company’s strategy of making high-performance motorcycles more attainable without compromising on excitement or features.

The launch is part of a broader strategy by Bajaj Auto to expand access to premium motorcycles at lower ownership costs. In recent weeks, the company has also announced revised engine configurations and pricing benefits for models such as the Dominar 400 and KTM’s 390 range.

With the latest update, the Pulsar NS400Z is expected to strengthen Bajaj Auto’s position in India’s growing premium sports motorcycle segment, particularly among young riders seeking performance-focused machines at competitive prices.
