Maruti Suzuki India Limited has achieved its highest-ever monthly sales, recording a total of 239,646 units in April 2026. The milestone underscores the company’s strong market leadership and robust demand across segments.
Domestic sales reached an all-time high of 191,122 units, reflecting significant growth compared to April 2025 figures. The company also reported sales of 8,470 units to other original equipment manufacturers (OEMs), while exports stood at 40,054 units during the month.
Breaking down the domestic passenger vehicle (PV) performance, Maruti Suzuki sold 187,704 units in April 2026, up from 138,704 units in the same period last year. The mini segment, comprising popular entry-level models, recorded sales of 16,066 units, showing a sharp rise from 6,332 units a year earlier.
The compact and mid-size segment remained the largest contributor, with 80,659 units sold, driven by continued demand for hatchbacks and sedans. Utility vehicles (UVs), including SUVs and MPVs, also saw strong traction with 77,892 units sold, compared to 59,022 units in April 2025.
Meanwhile, the van segment registered moderate growth, with sales of 13,087 units. Light commercial vehicles (LCVs), including the Super Carry, contributed 3,418 units to domestic sales.
Exports showed a notable increase as well, rising to 40,054 units from 27,911 units in April 2025, indicating strengthening global demand for Maruti Suzuki vehicles.
Industry analysts attribute this record-breaking performance to a combination of factors, including strong rural and urban demand, a diverse product portfolio, and improved supply chain stability. The continued popularity of compact cars and SUVs has further supported the company’s growth trajectory.
With this historic achievement, Maruti Suzuki has set a strong tone for the financial year, reinforcing its dominant position in India’s passenger vehicle market and signaling continued momentum in both domestic and international markets.
