Kia India has marked a major milestone in its aftersales journey with the inauguration of its 500th service workshop in India, located in Chandkheda, Ahmedabad. The development underscores the company’s growing focus on customer-centric services and strengthening its nationwide support infrastructure.
The newly launched facility, operated by West Coast Kia, is among the largest service workshops in the country. Spread across over 76,000 sq. ft., the state-of-the-art center is equipped with 57 service bays, including dedicated washing and mopping zones, and can handle up to 40,000 vehicles annually. With 100 parking bays and a workforce of 90 trained professionals, the workshop is designed to deliver high efficiency and seamless service experiences.
The milestone reflects Kia India’s continued expansion, now boasting over 800 service touchpoints across 391 cities. This extensive network aims to provide convenience, transparency, and accessibility to its growing customer base of over 1.5 million users nationwide.
Commenting on the achievement, Gwanggu Lee, Managing Director and CEO of Kia India, said the 500-workshop mark represents more than just scale, highlighting the company’s commitment to trust, efficiency, and customer satisfaction. He added that Kia remains focused on building a future-ready and digitally enabled aftersales ecosystem.
The Chandkheda facility also integrates advanced features such as a ‘Shine Zone’ for premium car care services and EV-ready infrastructure, including a 90 kW DC fast charger capable of charging two vehicles simultaneously. Developed under the company’s Green Workshop initiative, it incorporates sustainable practices like solar power generation, rainwater harvesting, and water recycling systems.
Baljeet Singh Bagga, Dealer Principal at West Coast Kia, described the milestone as a significant step in enhancing service accessibility and delivering superior ownership experiences to customers in the region.
Kia India continues to enhance customer engagement through digital innovations such as contactless service processes, RFID-enabled tracking, and real-time vehicle health updates. Platforms like Kia Krystal and My Kia App further allow customers to monitor their vehicle servicing remotely.
Sustainability remains a key focus, with the company operating 124 green workshops across India, collectively generating 8.90 MW of solar energy. As part of its latest initiative, West Coast Kia has also partnered with local authorities to plant 10,000 trees across Ahmedabad, reinforcing its commitment to environmental responsibility.
With this milestone, Kia India strengthens its position as one of the country’s leading automotive brands, continuing to invest in infrastructure, innovation, and sustainability to elevate the overall ownership experience.
