Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) announced its sales performance for January 2026, reporting total sales of 33,880 units, marking a 15% year-on-year (YoY) growth compared to 29,371 units in January 2025. The growth was primarily driven by strong domestic demand and sustained momentum across key models.

During the month, domestic sales stood at 30,630 units, registering a 17% YoY increase, while exports reached 3,250 units, up 2% YoY. The company attributed the performance to consistent customer demand, a robust product portfolio, and its continued focus on delivering reliable and value-driven mobility solutions.

Commenting on the performance, Mr. Sabari Manohar, Executive Vice President, Sales–Service–Used Car Business, Toyota Kirloskar Motor, said that the year 2026 began on a positive note, supported by strong customer trust in Toyota’s commitment to quality, safety, and sustainability.

He highlighted the launch of the All-Electric Urban Cruiser EBELLA as a key milestone during January, noting that the new model reinforces Toyota’s focus on future-ready mobility solutions. The launch marks a significant step in enhancing the company’s electric vehicle portfolio and aligns with India’s transition towards carbon neutrality and sustainable mobility.

Toyota Kirloskar Motor operates two manufacturing plants at Bidadi, Karnataka, with a combined installed production capacity of up to 3,42,000 units per annum. The first plant, operational since 1999, manufactures models including Innova HyCross, Innova Crysta, Fortuner, and Legender, with a capacity of 1,32,000 units. The second plant, commissioned in 2010, produces Camry Hybrid, Urban Cruiser Hyryder, and Hilux, with a capacity of 2,10,000 units.

In addition to locally manufactured models, Toyota’s India portfolio includes Glanza, Rumion, and Urban Cruiser Taisor, while premium models such as Vellfire and Land Cruiser 300 are imported as completely built units (CBUs).

With growing demand for electrified and hybrid vehicles, Toyota continues to strengthen its product offerings in India, focusing on sustainable technologies, safety, and customer-centric innovation.
