Ola Electric Begins Mass Deliveries of 4680 Bharat Cell-Powered Vehicles

Ola Electric has commenced mass deliveries of its new S1 Pro+ scooters powered by the indigenously developed 4680 Bharat Cell, marking a significant breakthrough in India’s electric mobility landscape. With this rollout, Ola becomes the first Indian company to fully manufacture both battery cells and battery packs in-house, strengthening its position in the fast-growing EV ecosystem.

The S1 Pro+ (5.2 kWh) is the first vehicle to receive Ola’s next-generation 4680 cell pack. According to the company, the new battery architecture offers higher range, improved performance, and enhanced safety, setting a new benchmark for locally manufactured EVs. Customer deliveries have already begun across key markets, with a nationwide rollout scheduled soon.

A spokesperson for Ola Electric said, “The excitement for S1 Pro+ has been phenomenal. Customers are now riding India’s first scooters powered by our own 4680 Bharat Cell. This is a big moment for Ola and for India’s journey towards becoming a global EV hub.”

The S1 Pro+ delivers a peak power of 13 kW, accelerating from 0–40 km/h in just 2.1 seconds. It offers an IDC range of 320 km with DIY mode and comes with four ride modes—Hyper, Sports, Normal, and Eco. Safety improvements include dual-channel ABS, front and rear disc brakes, and upgraded ergonomics. The scooter also introduces a refreshed design with two-tone seats, body-coloured mirrors, new decals, and an expanded seven-colour palette.

Ola Electric continues to widen its EV lineup with the S1 Gen 3 series, S1 X range, S1 Pro Sport variants, and the Roadster X motorcycle portfolio. Prices for its scooters and motorcycles span from ₹84,999 to ₹1,90,338, positioning the company strongly across premium and mass-market EV segments.

As Ola scales production of the 4680 Bharat Cell, the company aims to accelerate India’s transition to high-performance, locally manufactured electric vehicles.
