Tata Motors Reports 72,753 Vehicle Sales in April 2025; Sees Mixed Performance Across Segments

Tata Motors recorded total sales of 72,753 units in April 2025, reflecting a moderate decline compared to the same period last year, with varying trends across its commercial, passenger, and electric vehicle portfolios. The total sales are down 6.1% from last year. Other performance statistics include:

1. Domestic sales stood at 70,963 units, a 7% drop year-on-year.
2. Commercial Vehicle sales totaled 27,221 units, down 8% from April 2024.
3. Heavy trucks (HCVs) saw a 8% decline, with 7,270 units sold.
4. ILMCV sales rose 8% to 4,680 units.
5. Passenger carriers grew by 4%, reaching 4,683 units.
6. SCV sales fell 23% to 9,131 units.
7. Passenger Vehicle sales hit 45,532 units, a 5% dip from last year.
8. Domestic PV sales dropped 6% to 45,199 units.
9. PV exports surged 233%, with 333 units sold.
10. EV sales (domestic + export) declined 16%, totaling 5,318 units.
