HEVO Inc., a trailblazer in electric vehicle infrastructure, has launched a new public crowdfunding campaign to scale its groundbreaking wireless EV charging technology. This initiative opens early investment opportunities to the public, enabling supporters to help accelerate the widespread deployment of HEVO’s next-generation wireless charging pads.
Founded in Brooklyn and incubated at NYU’s clean tech lab, HEVO is on a mission to transform the EV charging experience into something as seamless as charging a smartphone. The company’s wireless charging system allows drivers to simply park over a pad embedded in or just beneath the pavement—eliminating the need for cables, plugs, and weather-related hassles.
“As EV adoption grows, charging needs to evolve beyond tangled cords and incompatible plug types,” said Jeremy McCool, Founder and CEO of HEVO. “We’ve spent more than a decade building a universal solution that delivers performance, safety, and simplicity. Now, we’re giving the public an opportunity to be part of bringing this technology to streets, homes, and fleet yards around the world.”
HEVO’s platform is the first and only wireless EV charging solution to earn both UL certification and SAE qualification, marking a significant industry milestone. Its technology delivers power and efficiency comparable to traditional plug-in chargers while supporting bi-directional charging, allowing EVs to also power homes and enhance grid resiliency.
With established partnerships with leading automakers, HEVO anticipates that the first production vehicles equipped with its wireless tech will launch between 2027 and 2029. This rollout is supported by a strategic public awareness campaign featuring live events, social media activations, and collaborations with content creators on platforms like LinkedIn and X (formerly Twitter).
The crowdfunding campaign—hosted through familiar platforms like Republic and WeFunder, where HEVO has seen past success—aims to ignite broader public engagement around clean transportation, climate tech, and smart city innovation.
