VinFast, the Vietnamese electric vehicle manufacturer, is set to introduce its new B-segment VF 6 in Europe later this year. The VF 6 will join the VF 8 in the company’s lineup, which is currently available in Germany, France, and the Netherlands.
The VF 6 aims to offer a compelling and affordable entry into electric vehicle ownership for young and young-at-heart Europeans. With a design tailored for the European market, the VF 6 boasts modern aesthetics and advanced features, including smart technology and advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS). Customers will also benefit from VinFast’s industry-leading warranty and aftersales support.
The new compact eSUV is engineered to be highly competitive in Europe’s popular new car segment. It features technology typically found in more expensive vehicles and a spacious interior comparable to larger SUVs. Developed with input from European partners and leveraging VinFast’s experience in electric mobility, the VF 6 is designed to meet the needs of tech-savvy young families.
Torino Design in Italy crafted the VF 6’s design, which includes VinFast’s signature wing-shaped LED strip at the front and alloy wheels in either 17 or 19 inches, depending on the trim. The vehicle’s aesthetic appeal is complemented by a 12.9-inch full HD infotainment system, a head-up display, Wi-Fi connectivity, and a comprehensive ADAS package with Level 2 Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC).
The VF 6’s drivetrain includes a single-motor configuration with varying power outputs. The Launch Edition and Plus models are equipped with a 150 kW electric motor delivering 310 Nm of torque, while the Eco model features a 130 kW motor. Each version is fitted with a 59.6 kWh LFP battery, offering a driving range of 379 km to 410 km, based on WLTP standards.
VinFast provides a seven-year or 160,000 km warranty for the VF 6, reflecting its confidence in the vehicle’s quality and reliability. The company has established a robust aftersales and customer care network, including a partnership with Mobivia, which offers high-quality aftersales services through a network of 1,200 workshops in France and Germany. Additionally, a collaboration with Bosch provides access to 700,000 charging points across 30 European countries.
With its sleek design, cutting-edge technology, and extensive aftersales support, the VF 6 is poised to be an attractive option for European compact eSUV buyers when it launches later this year.
