BMW India is set to open bookings for its highly anticipated all-electric model, the BMW i5, starting from 12:30 Hrs on April 4, 2024. This marks a significant step in the luxury carmaker’s commitment to electric mobility in the country. The BMW i5 will be offered as a Completely Built-Up (CBU) model and can be reserved through the BMW dealership network or via the BMW Online Shop.
Mr. Vikram Pawah, President of BMW Group India, expressed his enthusiasm about the pre-launch bookings of the BMW i5 M60 xDrive in India. He described the BMW i5 as an exceptional athlete, boasting elegant design, innovative technology, and dynamic performance.
BMW Group India has been at the forefront of the electric luxury car segment for two consecutive years, offering a versatile portfolio including models like the BMW i7, BMW iX, BMW i4, BMW iX1, and MINI SE. The introduction of the BMW i5 M60 xDrive further strengthens BMW Group India’s position in the Indian electric luxury car market.
The BMW i5 M60 xDrive represents a fusion of BMW M power and BMW i innovation, tailor-made for action and excitement. It delivers an impressive output of up to 442 kW/601 hp, coupled with hallmark M performance and distinct design elements. With a system torque of 820 Nm, the BMW i5 M60 accelerates from zero to 100 km/h in just 3.8 seconds, while offering a WLTP range of up to 516 km.
