HMC HIVE, an arm of Hero Motors Company based in Ludhiana, has entered into a partnership with Belgian Cycle Factory, a prominent cycling company in Europe. The collaboration aims to manufacture and export high-quality cycles and e-bikes from India to Belgium, with plans for Belgian Cycle Factory to enter the Indian market in the future utilizing Hero Cycle’s extensive retail network. This strategic alliance, valued at US$36 million, signifies a noteworthy achievement for both companies, poised to redefine the global landscape of bicycles and e-bikes.

Operating from its integrated e-cycle and last-mile mobility manufacturing facility at Hero Cycle Valley in Ludhiana, HMC HIVE and Belgian Cycle Factory will synergize their strengths and innovations. Together, they aim to diversify their product offerings, creating a combined portfolio featuring bicycles with advanced designs and technology-enabled features. This collaboration is expected to set new standards in personal and cargo mobility, with Belgian Cycle Factory introducing state-of-the-art cycles incorporating cutting-edge technology, advanced materials, and appealing designs.

Jochim Aerts, CEO of Belgian Cycling Factory, expressed enthusiasm about the partnership, emphasizing Hero’s E-bike Valley as one of the most integrated e-bike production facilities globally. He sees Hero’s expertise as a significant asset in their venture to establish a comprehensive e-bike lineup.
