ETO Motors announced securing an order for the deployment of 500 electric three-wheelers in Uttar Pradesh, with a particular focus on Ayodhya.
The Uttar Pradesh government awarded the company a Letter of Award (LoA), entrusting ETO Motors with the responsibility of deploying and managing the electric three-wheelers in cities such as Lucknow, Ayodhya, Varanasi, Prayagraj, Agra, Mathura, and Gorakhpur.
The deployment, especially concentrated in Ayodhya, aligns with the inauguration of the Ram Temple. This strategic launch in Ayodhya aims to integrate electric mobility into cultural and religious events, particularly facilitating devotees visiting the sacred site.
ETO Motors Director Karthik S Ponnapula emphasized the transformative impact of their e-three-wheelers, serving as agents of change that drive economic growth, social empowerment, and environmental stewardship.
Additionally, ETO Motors revealed a partnership with Uber to develop a sustainable and efficient electric mobility solution for urban transportation.
The collaboration intends to revolutionize urban commuting by leveraging ETO Motors’ electric vehicle expertise and Uber’s extensive network and innovative ride-sharing platform.
Uber India and South Asia Director of Supply Operations, Shiva Shailendran, expressed enthusiasm about the partnership and its potential to provide hassle-free transportation for tourists and locals in Ayodhya as the city emerges as a popular tourist destination.
