EV startup Revamp Moto (RM) has initiated the production of its Buddie 25 electric bike at its new micro-factory in Nashik, Maharashtra. The first batch includes 120 e-bikes.
RM developed the Buddie 25 entirely in-house over three years. It targets micro-entrepreneurs involved in last-mile delivery operations and similar activities.
The RM Buddie 25 boasts a payload capacity of 120 kg and a range of up to 70 km on a single charge. It comes with five swappable attachments, including a saddle bag, insulated bag, insulated box, carrier, and an additional rear seat, catering to delivery partners and vegetable sellers.
Pritesh Mahajan, CEO & co-founder of Revamp Moto, expressed, “Revamp Moto spent over three years in R&D to develop the blueprint of one of India’s fastest swappable and customizable EVs for India’s micro-entrepreneurial community.”
The company’s micro-factory, the first in India, has an annual production capacity of 25,000 units. Deliveries of the first batch of electric bikes are scheduled to begin in November 2023.
RM is also working on making Buddie 25 more accessible by partnering with financial institutions to offer no-cost EMIs and low-interest loans. Additionally, it has teamed up with ReadyAssist to provide hassle-free service and 24×7 roadside assistance.
