According to Raigad Regional Transport Office, out of the 25,000 registered vehicles, more than 1,000 were electric for the financial year 2022-23.Â
A senior official told reporters that the government is committed to ensuring that all citizens have access to basic services.
He added that Raigad RTO  generated revenue of Rs 19.38 crore in the last financial year.
The official said, “Of the 25 000 vehicles registered in 2022-23, around 1,089 of them were electric and out of these 47 were electric four-wheelers. There are some electric vehicles that don’t need to be registered.”
Raigad RTOÂ The official also said that Rs 7.71 crore was collected as penalties for different violations.
