Ola Electric Introduces S1 Air Electric Scooters In India

Ola Electric introduces the S1 Air within a year after the S1 Pro and S1 were launched. The introductory price is Rs 84,999. It also announced the most recent update on Move OS 3. According to the company, the S1 Air weighs 99kg and is 25kg lighter than the S1 Pro electric scooter. It has a 4.5kW hub motor and a 2.5kWh battery pack. This allows acceleration of zero to 40kmph in just 4.3 seconds. The S1 Air can reach a speed of 85 mph and claims an IDC range of 100 km in Eco mode. The 34-liter boot space is still available. The electric scooter comes in five colors: Neo Mint, Coral Glam, Jet Black, Porcelain White, and Liquid Silver. According to the company, the purchase window will open in February 2023. Move OS 3 will be pre-installed on the Ola S1 Air.

Founder Of e-Ashwa Automotive Launches New EV Venture, ‘Sampoorn EV’

Vikas Gupta, the founder and former CEO of e-Ashwa Automotive, Ghaziabad’s electric vehicle company, has announced the launch of a new EV venture called Sampoorn EV. Gupta stated that the initiative will offer a complete ( Sampoorn) as well as holistic ecosystem platform for small local EV players with products, but not having the necessary infrastructure. This includes a retail network to sell and market their products outside their region. He stated that EVs are certain to become the future of mobility if there are favorable Government policies and rapid adoption by the auto industry of electric vehicles.

VAAN Moto Opens Its First Electric Bicycle Showroom In Mumbai

VAAN Moto, an electric mobility startup, has opened its first electric bicycle lounge and showroom in Mumbai’s Atria Mall. The company was officially launched globally at the EICMA motorcycle exhibition in Italy, held on November 2021. The company plans to expand into major markets with this electric bike showroom and lounge. VAAN Moto has partnered up with top players in the segment such as Benelli from Italy and Kiska of KTM Austria. These electric bikes are designed by VAAN Moto, Benelli provides components, and Kiska assists with branding.

Uber Starts Electric Cab Services In Delhi-NCR

Uber, the ride-hailing platform, has started its electric vehicle (EV) ride-hailing services in a few parts of Delhi-NCR to expand its services in the country. As of now, electric vehicle services are only available for pre-booked trips. According to sources, Uber is working with OEMs, various fleet partners, and charging infrastructure providers to build its EV network gradually. “As the leading mobility app in India, we are committed to supporting the Indian government’s emission goals. Expect to see more electric vehicles — be they two, three, or four-wheeled across Indian cities in the coming months,” a company spokesperson said. India is pushing ride-hailing companies to transition to electric vehicles and Uber stepping in will give it an edge against other companies in the market.

Baaz Bikes Launches Its Electric Scooter In Delhi For Gig Delivery Riders

Baaz Bikes, an electric vehicle startup introduces its electric scooters at Rs. 35,000 ex-showroom Delhi without battery for gig delivery riders. The scooters are locally made with swappable batteries, fleet management tools, and an automated swappable battery network. The company will sell its scooters to small dealerships for easy accessibility for riders. The Energy Pods swappable battery has safety features as per AIS 156 standards. The scooter is designed to run for more than 100 km in a day.
