Rajasthan Electronics and Instruments Limited (REIL) has issued a tender to identify, install, operate, and maintain around 738 electric vehicle charging stations across the country.
REIL is a joint venture between Rajasthan and the central government. The last date to submit the online bids is 6th October 2022.
The charging stations will be installed under two categories: A and B. These EV charging stations will be supported by Phase two of the FAME scheme for subsidies.
Category A will constitute charging stations that will be set up in public places to charge EVs for commercial purposes and will be open to all individuals for charging their EVs.
Category B will constitute charging stations that will be set up in central or state government offices, government clinics/hospitals, government institutions, etc for non-commercial purposes only.
REIL has segmented the allocated cities under three groups for installing electric vehicle charging stations; Group 2, 3, and 4.
Group 2: Patna, Kolkata, Gangtok, Shillong, Varanasi, Bareilly, Aligarh, Jhansi, Saharanpur, Kanpur, Prayagraj, and Lucknow.
Group 3: Nashik, Thane, Ahmedabad, Vadodara, Gandhinagar, Indore, Jabalpur, and Bhopal.
Group 4: Hyderabad, Warangal, Karimnagar, Vijayawada, Tirupati, Kakinada, Puducherry, Bangalore, Mangalore, Erode, Salem, Vellore,
Coimbatore, and Madurai.
