BYD India has opened its sixth showroom in India, the first showroom for passenger cars in Bengaluru.
The showroom covers 1600 square feet and features technicians, service equipment, and electric vehicle charging stations. This gives customers an unparalleled in-store experience.
This showroom will allow Bengaluru consumers to access pure electric vehicles of BYD. With extensive experience in the automotive industry, PPS BYD also has a wide reach. Its business covers all of India.
BYD India also operates pure electric buses within the Delhi NCR, Bengaluru, Mumbai, and Hyderabad, as well as other cities. BYD’s electric buses are currently commercially available and hold a significant market share in India.
Sanjay Gopalakrishnan, Senior Vice President of Electric Passenger Vehicle Business of BYD India, said, “The Bengaluru region is one of the key markets for BYD India. Karnataka was the first state in the country to build an EV ecosystem and take the lead in electric vehicles. We are geared up for offering a range of pure electric vehicles in the coming years.”
Indian officials are aiming for a 30% penetration of EVs in the PV segment by 2030. They also aim to reduce emissions to zero by 2070. BYD is driven by these goals and will work closely with its partners in order to offer localised, green products for the local marketplace.
