PMI Electro Mobility Solutions Private Limited is one of the most prominent producers of electric buses in India. It will establish its electric largest commercial vehicle (eCV) production facility in Pune, Maharashtra. It is expected to be built in Chakan’s MIDC. The facility will have a 35-acre area and 1,500 employees.
PMI says that the new facility will be operational by August 2023. It conforms to Green Building norms. It will be able to produce 2,500 electric vehicles per year and will begin commercial production in October 2023. PMI currently has a manufacturing facility in Delhi-NCR and has a production capacity of 1,500 e-buses annually. This expansion in Pune will increase PMI’s annual manufacturing capacity to 4,000 eCVs.
Satish Kumar Jain, Managing Director of PMI Electro Mobility Solutions Private Limited, said, “It gives us immense pride to lay the foundation for the next phase of our growth with the Pune factory.
