PAPL, which is a Pune-based automation company, launched EVTRIC Motors, a new venture to manufacture electric vehicles. PAPL is one of the initial manufacturers of line automation equipment, conveyors, robots, mechanical/control design, and simulation.
The company is a 100% Indian electric automotive manufacturing venture which has announced investing around INR 100 crore in a phased manner. EVTRIC Motors will be producing electric scooters, bicycles, electric bikes, and electric 3-wheelers.
It has set up its manufacturing facility at Chakan in Pune and has implemented high-end automation processes to maintain quality and time efficiency. The manufacturing plant has an annual capacity of 1.5 lakh units. At the same time, it has started onboarding dealers in Maharashtra, Gujrat, Tamil Nadu, Andhra, Telangana, Kerala, Karnataka, Delhi- NCR, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Odisha, and West Bengal. Also, an in-house R&D team to gauge the requirements of the customers better and design in line with the same has been set up.
