Impact of India China Recent Developments On Indian E Mobility Industry

The Indian EV industry currently has become the focal-point of auto sector and with subsequent developments that take place between India & China at a time when this sector was poised to take a positive growth following the Centre’s resolution to allow 30% share in E-mobility by 2030. With the Indian EV sector greatly dependent on China for the Lithium-ion run batteries (LIBs) and other EV Components,with the launch of Atmanirbhar Bharat, the Indian EV players are getting prepared to develop components locally but the auto industry, as of now, has to depend on foreign supply chains to allow the sector to grow during the period of COVID-19 pandemic.

    • Since Post COVID 2019 and specifically due to China Policy on our Border, situation appears to be quite different. Morever now the public sentiment is also not in favour of Cina for any of the products / services. As such a Review is required to done on our dependency on China for E-Mobility also, specifically for Li-Ion Batteries – its raw materials and also Technology.
