BLive, an integrated commercial electric vehicle (EV) mobility platform in India, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Tata Motors to deploy up to 1,000 Tata electric mini trucks through its BLive PRIME franchise-owned commercial EV fleet programme. The partnership aims to accelerate the electrification of last-mile and intra-city logistics while expanding BLive’s presence in India’s growing cargo EV segment.
As the first step of the partnership, BLive has inducted the initial batch of Tata Ace Pro EVs, with the vehicles set to be deployed for enterprise logistics operations. Additional batches are expected to be rolled out in phases over the coming months. BLive recently launched PRIME with an investment commitment of ₹100 crore to support large-scale commercial EV fleet adoption.
Under the franchise-owned fleet model, entrepreneurs and businesses can invest in and own electric cargo vehicle fleets, starting with an investment of approximately ₹45 lakh, while BLive manages fleet deployment and operations. The company provides services across the fleet lifecycle, including enterprise demand generation, vehicle deployment, fleet technology, charging infrastructure integration, maintenance and day-to-day operations.
BLive said India has an estimated 4.5–5 million light commercial vehicles (LCVs) on the road, with the majority powered by diesel, while electric penetration in the cargo LCV segment remains below 1%. The company plans to deploy its electric cargo fleets across sectors including manufacturing, warehousing, e-commerce, quick commerce, retail distribution, FMCG, construction, pharmaceuticals and third-party logistics.
Sandeep Mukherjee, Founder and CEO of BLive, said the partnership is aimed at addressing the growing demand for electric cargo vehicles in intra-city logistics. He added that the franchise-owned fleet model provides entrepreneurs with access to productive electric cargo assets while BLive manages enterprise deployment and end-to-end fleet operations.
Pinaki Haldar, Vice President and Business Head – SCVPU at Tata Motors, said the partnership will support the expansion of electric cargo mobility solutions. Tata Motors’ electric small commercial vehicle portfolio includes the Ace Pro EV, Ace EV and Intra EV, targeting different cargo and last-mile logistics requirements.
BLive said the expansion is being driven by increasing demand for electric commercial vehicles from e-commerce, quick commerce, organised retail, manufacturing and urban supply chains. Businesses are increasingly evaluating EVs to reduce operating costs and meet sustainability targets in high-utilisation logistics operations.
Through BLive PRIME, the company integrates vehicle procurement, financing support, enterprise customer acquisition, charging, fleet technology, maintenance and operations into a single commercial EV ecosystem. Its existing commercial electric fleets serve enterprise and logistics customers including Hyperpure, Porter and Delhivery.
With plans to deploy more than 1,000 Tata Ace EVs, BLive aims to expand its franchise-owned fleet network and strengthen its position in India’s commercial electric mobility market.
