Honda Cars India Ltd. (HCIL), a leading manufacturer of premium passenger vehicles in the Indian market, reported domestic sales of 6,193 units and exports of 748 units in January 2026, reflecting a steady start to the new year amid a competitive automotive landscape.
Commenting on the company’s performance, Kunal Behl, Vice President, Marketing & Sales, Honda Cars India Ltd., said that the year has begun on a strong note, supported by healthy sales momentum across key models. He highlighted that the Honda Amaze continues to generate strong demand due to its value-for-money positioning, while the Honda City and Elevate are contributing consistently to the company’s overall sales volumes.
Honda Cars India remains optimistic about maintaining this positive sales trajectory in the coming months, driven by sustained demand across its sedan and SUV portfolio.
In comparison, the company recorded 7,325 domestic sales and 4,979 exports in January 2025, indicating a shift in export volumes while domestic sales continue to be supported by strong demand for mass-market and premium models.
The company’s performance underscores its continued focus on delivering reliable, feature-rich vehicles and strengthening its market presence in India and overseas markets.
