Bijliride, one of India’s fastest-growing two-wheeler EV rental platforms, has announced a major expansion into Bengaluru, Mumbai, and Delhi NCR, marking a significant step in its EV rental growth strategy for FY 2025–26. After establishing a strong presence in Hyderabad, the company is now ready to bring cleaner and more affordable electric mobility to some of India’s busiest metropolitan markets.
In the first phase of the rollout, Bijliride plans to deploy 2,500 electric two-wheelers in Bengaluru, 1,500 in Mumbai, and 2,500 in Delhi NCR, taking its total operational fleet to more than 10,000 vehicles as expansion continues. The Hyderabad fleet currently stands at 3,500 units, with further scale-up planned over the next six months based on demand.
To support this expansion, the company is strengthening its OEM partnerships. Around 60–70% of the upcoming fleet will be company-owned, while the remaining share will be deployed through collaborations with BGauss and other leading EV manufacturers. The new vehicles will feature upgraded battery systems, advanced telematics, higher range, and improved ride stability, enhancing reliability for daily riders.
“Our mission is simple: to make sustainable mobility accessible, reliable, and rewarding for everyone. Mumbai, Delhi, and Bengaluru are high-potential EV rental markets, especially for daily commuters who rely on convenient and affordable mobility solutions,” said Vishal Vikram, Co-founder and CMO, Bijliride. He added that the expansion strengthens the company’s position as an emerging category leader in urban EV mobility.
The Bijliride mobile app will allow users to book EVs with a tap, offering daily, weekly, and monthly rental options. Vehicles will be accessible across a dense network of pickup and drop points near metro stations, IT parks, commercial zones, and major residential areas. This accessibility aims to make commuting more seamless for working professionals, students, and gig-economy riders.
As the company gears up for broader expansion, Bijliride remains focused on enhancing its tech-driven platform, improving service reliability, and contributing to India’s clean mobility shift. With an ambitious vision of deploying 10,000 active EVs by FY26, Bijliride aims to significantly reduce urban emissions and redefine short-distance mobility in India’s top cities.
